Beaux Arts Fall Ball 2011
Venue Information

Tickets: $25

Buster's Billiards & Backroom - 899 Manchester Street, Lexington, Kentucky.

At 11,000 square feet the building has given Buster’s new owners, Jessica and Clark Case, the opportunity to combine their favorite billiards hall with something Lexington has needed for a long time – a mid-sized music venue. The space is divided between a billiards lounge, which seeks to carry-on the Buster’s vibe, and the Backroom, a state-of-the-art concert hall. The ability to host regional and national musical acts, and to provide a venue for art and performances of all types, adds dimension and excitement to Lexington’s thriving arts scene, and gives Lexingtonians the opportunity to keep their entertainment dollars local. Buster’s Billiards & Backroom is proud to be a part of the Lexington Distillery District, which celebrates Kentucky’s heritage and culture, and hopes to contribute to the fabric of that culture for years to come.

The Distillery Distric

The Lexington Distillery District is located on Manchester Street, less than 2,000 feet to the west of Rupp Arena and the central business district of downtown Lexington. Manchester Street as it stands today is heavily industrial, characterized by a tow yard, rail yard, decrepit infrastructure, and old warehouses remaining from a time when Bourbon Distilleries were plentiful in this area. Lexington was a major bourbon producer in Kentucky 100 years ago, the James E. Pepper Distillery was the nation's largest bourbon distillery at the time. The James E. Pepper Distillery still stands and is the center piece for Lexingtions adaptive re-use plan. The plan calls for revitalization of many of the interesting and historic buildings as well as residential, commercial and mixed-use infill development.

The Distillery District plan calls for programming that would include but not be not limited to: a boutique hotel, bourbon museum, small batch bourbon distillery, office space, commercial and retail space, condominiums, live work units, multi-family units, open public space, and the Town Branch Trail. There is a lot of excitement over the aspect of revitilizing the Distillery District but until those plans take shape the James E. Pepper Distillery is the peftect place to host the Beaux Arts Ball.
